Our Love Story!
How Did you Meet?
Elaina Said: Sarina and I met via Instagram. She was at the time an aspiring author, who was chosen to participate in six-woman anthology. I had seen some posts about the book, “Passing As Straight”, and the title piqued my interest. The lead author of the project began posting the profiles of the six chosen authors; Sarina was the first co-author posted. Wanting to know more about the book and the project in total, I clicked on Sarina's profile. She had three posts up on her page... I liked all three post and Sarina responded in my DM's. She simply said, "I appreciate your likes *insert blushing emoji* and following". I responded... and I have not stopped since!
Sarina Said: While I was in the process of promoting my bestseller, "Passing As Straight", I created an Instagram account to help with promotion. The lead author of the book encouraged all the co-authors to reach out to supporters, to say “Thank you for your support”. I posted three pictures to this account and Elaina liked those post and I decided to ‘hop in her DM’s’ to say thank you on 12/30 at 12:30pm…she responded a minute later and it couldn’t have been a minute too soon! And, the rest is history!
Where did you Go on your First Date?
Elaina Said: Wings To Go
Sarina Said: It was Elaina's first trip to Delaware and our first date. Elaina met me at my school shortly after she landed. We had lunch at "Wings to Go".

Elaina Said: The proposal...intimate, personal.
Sarina Said: Personal at home during quarantine!
Tell me Something Interesting About your Fiancée...
Elaina Said: She is a true empath. She can feel things that I can't and express emotions that I try to hide.
Sarina Said: She used to read encyclopedias for fun!
What’s the Significance of your Wedding Date?
Elaina Said: Our wedding date is our countdown to forever!
Sarina Said: Elaina did not want to wait another year and we both have a thing with numbers. “4.3.21” just seemed like a perfect countdown to a lifetime of forevers.
How did you Come up with the Concept/Theme for your Wedding?
Elaina & Sarina: We envisioned an all-white space; symbolizing purity, serenity, and peace; all of which ushers in romance, elegance, and intimacy.
What are the Colors of your Wedding and Why?
Elaina & Sarina: We wanted a clean and serene palette. We chose a lavender and blue watercolor palette. Those colors speak to our style and esthetics. They are airy and light. It speaks to our beginning and forever. Pure love. These are things that we cherish and bring to our family and legacy.
