How did you meet?
We met in a groupme group among our fellow greeks. We took our conversation outside of the group and found ourselves talking everyday, all day. Cagney is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (AKA) and Benjamin is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity (Alpha).
Where did you go on your first date?
He made arrangements to come to me in Dallas, TX. I arranged activities based on both of our interest. We both love the beauty of the outdoors and food.
How did Benjamin propose?
We did the photo shoot the day before we got engaged. We went to church that Sunday with friends. After getting out of church Benjamin got down on one knee outside of St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square and asked me to marry him. We had brunch with friends to celebrate. It was the best day ever.
What is your style and wedding theme?
We are not traditional. We are eclectic and eccentric. We believe in making our own traditions. Our wedding reflects us.
